Dr. Madrid is a licensed psychologist. Dr. Madrid's specialities include the treatment of anxiety and trauma disorders, ranging from daily stressors to PTSD. She has been trained in the leading evidence based treatments for treating trauma across the lifespan from children up to older adults. As well as treating trauma, Dr. Madrid is a certified grief counselor and has a specialized interest in couples therapy, specifically post betrayal and infidelity. Dr. Madrid is trained in Gottman's Trust Revival Method which is a three-phase process to help couples recover from infidelity and revive trust. Currently, Dr. Madrid holds a position as a Fire Psychologist for The Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD) thus furthering her experience to first responders. She also is an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor with Pepperdine University.
Rachel is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. She is dedicated to fostering a safe and non-judgmental space where one can collaboratively address their most personal needs, concerns, and desires. Rachel specializes in working with trauma & PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger management, identity acceptance, and work, school, and relational stressors. She works with individuals of all identities, emphasizing cultural humility and identity-affirming approaches. She primarily works with teens, young adults, and adults. While utilizing a more integrative and client-centered approach, Rachel will pull from a variety of evidence-based theories in order to best support each individual in their unique journey to find happiness and healing. Some of the theories Rachel integrates into her practice are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and somatic and mindfulness approaches.
Sophia is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. She prioritizes your safety and comfort, and practices from a client-centered, evidence based approach that is caring, empathetic and effective. She specializes in working with anxiety, depression, relational stressors, life transition issues, grief, self esteem and body image issues. She sees clients from all age groups, and takes particular interest in adolescents and young adults. Sophia understands that each person has unique needs and goals. Therefore, she focuses on using a holistic approach, looking at all areas of a clients life, deconstructing and solving issues to ensure the client is able to live their best possible life.
